Suben Campaign
for District Attorney Takes Early lead in fundraising
Opponent has yet to file financial reports or claim funds
DeRuyter, New York (August 2, 2008) -- Mark Suben's campaign for District Attorney of Cortland County got an important jump start taking an early, significant lead in fund-raising. The Suben campaign reported $3,069 in contributions through July 11 with over $7,500 currently on hand, even though several campaign items had already been paid for.
According to local published news reports, current District Attorney David Hartnett had not filed any campaign contribution forms and has yet to raise money for his campaign and would have "reported any contributions as required by law".
"We've got a good start with a lot of good people supporting
us," commented Mark Suben. "
We look at the fund-raising as an investment for
competence and good judgment in the office that the people of Cortland County
deserve."
Suben's campaign has several fund-raisers planned throughout
the summer and fall leading up to the November election. Campaign spokespeople
explained that all funds are being invested in a grass-roots approach that
involves voters, families and all parties in a pursuit of "
legal common sense."
Mark Suben is the Democratic nominee for the office of District Attorney, Cortland County.
